I grew up in a small farming town outside Ithaca, New York where my family raised numerous animals including dogs, cats, goats, geese, and even a pot belly pig. All of our dogs were rescues or strays that wondered onto our 100 acre property. There were no leashed walks: just free roaming pack hikes through the woods with happy free range dogs. This is what I aspire to create with Squalicum Mountain Dogs.

I moved to Bellingham in 2012 to attend graduate school at WWU and never left. Like many people here, I was drawn in by the beautiful surroundings, outdoor recreation, and the dog loving culture Bellingham has to offer.

When I'm not hiking with dogs, I work as a Medical Laboratory Scientist for multiple hospitals in the area. You can also find me playing music at the local venues around town, powder chasing at Mt Baker, or surfing the coast with my 3 legged dog George.
